Formal Medium Hairstyles
Halle Berry
Glamour with medium hairstyles has returned to the world of fashion. Long gone are the days of grunge. Even as style has maintained some of its casual tendencies, the glamorous 40's style of Hollywood has made a return into today's society. However, with the medium hairstyle still in full reign the challenge is to figure out how to change that medium hairstyle look to get that formal glam.
The glam look can be happen in a number of ways. We are all familiar with the updo. You have seen a nice French twist or a chignon grace many of red carpets. The exact finish that you give on the updo is varied. Some updos are very traditional with the smooth and tidy finish that is given to them. Another way to achieve the finish is to leave it a bit messy with frizzy pieces and pieces that remain out of the twist or bun and hang down. The halfdo is a good variation on the updo. This is a style when the front of the hair remains in the updo while the back of the hair remains down. Incorporating hair accessories such as crystals or flowers are a great addition to this type of hairstyle.
Another very creative look are braids. Braids can be done on shorter hair and you can use braids in a multitude of ways. You can use a single braid or you may use many as well as vary the size of the braid. This lets you really use your imagination in creating the hairstyle.
The Sedu hair is a newer hairstyle to the world of formal hair. The objective in this hairstyle is to have a neat, smooth, and polished finish.
A flat iron and straightening products are used to create this look. Whether you flip it in or out just keep it smooth.
